As I close out my term as Chief Servant Leader (or director, as some call it), let’s reflect on what we’ve accomplished over the last 3+ years.
We’ve gone from being open 3 hours per month, to being open 35+ hours per month for our neighbors.

We received our first delivery from the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank in December 2020. Since then LTN has become a million-pound-per-year food distribution center and one of the largest food pantries in the Fredericksburg region.
We did those things using 100% volunteer power. Our volunteers who show up week after week to keep this place running – they are truly amazing.
That being said, I am really happy that we have been able to hire some LTN employees, here at the end of my tenure, because we’ve stretched the volunteer model as far as it can go.
I’m positively joyful to be handing the reins to Miriam, because she has a true servant’s heart, and I know she will grow our culture of love, respect, and community.
My new role will be on our Board of Directors, where I will serve Miriam by raising money for her LTN operations.
Final instructions from me: assume good intent, leave pride outside, have a service mindset, and remember to have fun!
– Ryan Ragsdale
