Volunteer at Love Thy Neighbor

We welcome your interest in volunteering with Love Thy Neighbor.  Volunteering is a wonderful way to make connections in our community, serve others, and have fun doing it (Note: having fun is optional but highly recommended). Please complete our volunteer form to the right!

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult but they may work with their parent or guardian.

Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian attend their first event to register them as a volunteer.

Who Can Volunteer?

We welcome individuals, church groups, youth groups, and service groups. We offer community service hours for students and court ordered service.

If you are completing court ordered community service at the pantry, please be sure to check in with the manager on duty to log your hours in our official notebook. Once you have completed your hours, send an email to kgc.ltn@gmail.com, and we will send you a formal letter verifying your hours worked within 3 business days.

Time Commitment

The amount of time you commit is up to you as a volunteer! Some of our volunteers come out once a month or once a week while others are onsite several days each week! We’re happy to have you no matter how much time you can commit!

Volunteer Opportunities

We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities on almost every of the week including retail pickups, stocking shelves, cleaning, food distribution events, remote volunteer opportunities (grant writing, graphic design, fundraising, etc.). Once you are registered in the volunteer management system (using the volunteer form), you will be able to see and sign up for current volunteer opportunities. If there’s something you want to do, just let us know! We’re a growing organization and we’re always ready for new opportunities!

What to Wear

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes – we’re happy casual at the Pantry!

“I had volunteered in PA at our Food Bank for 30 years. When we moved to King George I wanted to continue working with a local Food Bank. My passion is helping others! My grandson Bracken comes to help too! He has a loving and generous heart! All the people we work with give their heart and soul to the program!”
