Meet Our Board Members

Erica Dutcher

Erica Dutcher (Board Chair)

Erica is a passionate champion for marginalized and underserved communities, and she brings a wealth of nonprofit experience to our board. With a background in administration and organizational infrastructure, she has spent several years working to support the local homeless community through her time with Micah Ministries, and on now on low-income housing through her work with the Central Virginia Housing Coalition. Erica is deeply committed to fostering community well-being and believes strongly in neighbors taking care of neighbors.

Melissa Stewart

Melissa Stewart (At-Large)

Melissa joined Love Thy Neighbor during the holidays at the end of 2022. She quickly became a staple of helping wherever needed and loving on our patrons and volunteers alike. If asked, she would say the same thing today! Melissa’s primary focus is grant writing and donation coordination, and she can also be found registering patrons, picking up groceries for us every week, stocking shelves, and counting inventory. Melissa and her husband moved to King George in 2008 after completing his obligations to the United States Army.

She has been a Realtor locally since 2002 and has lived in this region her entire life. She is a member of VAR, NAR, and FAAR and serves on the Grievance Committee. Her family loves this community and cares deeply about advancing our mission. When she is not at the pantry, she enjoys traveling as much as possible and spending time with her two grown children and her two puppies.

Lisa Grandstaff

Lisa Grandstaff (At-Large)

Lisa Grandstaff works as an operations and facilities manager in her weekday job but also owns her own construction and home improvement company with her husband. Upon the closing of that campus, Lisa went to Oak Grove Baptist Church in April of 2021 and continued to volunteer at Love Thy Neighbor.

Lisa now leads a Host Team of Volunteers who volunteer the first Sunday of every month at Love Thy Neighbor and a delivery team that delivers meals weekly from the pantry to patrons who are unable to shop for themselves. Lisa was appointed to the Board on 10/03/2023.
